What are the differences between electric flange butterfly valve and electric wafer butterfly valve
Gas butterfly valve has a wide range of applications and is a relatively common valve. It is mainly used for the control of the passage and flow regulation of the medium in the pipeline system. It is widely used in many fields such as petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, hydropower and so on. So in the commonly used electric butterfly valve, the main can be divided into two kinds, electric wafer butterfly valve and electric flange butterfly valve, and these two kinds of valves have their own characteristics, and the performance is not the same, can be used in different industries.
Electric flange butterfly valve
Electric flange butterfly valve body at both ends of the flange, and pipe flange connection, sealing relative to the wafer type butterfly valve will be more reliable, generally used in larger caliber, or higher pressure places, but the cost is higher than the wafer type butterfly valve.
Electric wafer butterfly valve
The thickness of the electric wafer butterfly valve will be relatively thin compared to the flange butterfly valve. There is no flange at both ends of the valve body, only a few guide bolt holes. The valve is connected with a set of bolts/nuts and the flange at the pipe end. Generally applicable to places where the space is relatively narrow or the pipe is limited. The advantage is that the disassembly is more convenient, the valve cost is low, and the space occupied is small, but the disadvantage is that one sealing surface has a problem, and both sealing surfaces have to be disassembled!
For these two kinds of valves, in addition to the structural form is not the same, if it is in the case of the same parameters, the biggest difference is the connection mode is different, that is, the installation form is not the same, depending on the field conditions!
